Senz’altro, qualcuno dei miei milioni di lettori (per la Questura, trentacinque) compirà gli anni tra agosto e settembre: beh, l’elenco delle nuove solicitations DC ha rivelato, tra inediti e ristampe, moltissimi regali potenziali per l’occasione, tutti naturalmente selezionati tra il materiale legato alla nostra amata Legione. Ma, ehi, quando si presenta un piatto così ricco come questo, non è una festa un po’ per tutti gli aficionados?
L’elenco delle proposte di cui sopra è già corposo prendendo in esame i soli albetti: oltre alle nuove uscite dei consueti titoli madre, con Adventure Comics #517 (di Levitz e Sharpe) e The Legion of Super-Heroes (vol. VI) #4 (di Levitz e Cinar), e all’ennesimo episodio del coriaceo spin-off di R.E.B.E.L.S. (vol. II) (di Bedard e St. Aubin), la checklist annuncia infatti ben due gradite sorprese.
Si tratta di Superman/Batman #75 (di Levitz e AA. VV.) e Tiny Titans #31 (di Baltazar e Franco): il primo, celebra i tre quarti di centenario della collana erede di “World’s Finest” con un albo ricco di guest star, tra le quali la Legione; il secondo, delizioso divertissement per tutte le età, vede eccezionalmente tra il cast, assieme alle versioni “bimbe” dei Giovani Titani, una tenera interpretazione di Brainiac 5.
Ma non è finita qui. Sul versante dei volumi, si segnalano altre vere e proprie chicche, da Starman Omnibus vol. 5 HC (di Robinson e AA. VV.), che vede l’alter-ego di Jack Knight incontrarsi in una splendida avventura con lo Star Boy post-Ora Zero, a Showcase Presents: The Legion of Super-Heroes vol. 4 TP (di AA. VV.), che conclude la ristampa economica della fortunata era di Jim Shooter come principale scriba legionario.
I più risparmiatori saranno inoltre lieti di vedere pubblicati, a un anno di distanza dalla versione cartonata, anche i brossurati di Superman: New Krypton vol. 2 TP (di AA. VV.) – con Mon-El – e di JSA: Black Adam and Isis TP (di Johns, Ordway e Eaglesham) – con Starman/Thom Kallor.
