hai ragionissima. tra l’altro, tra le solicit citate nel mio stesso articolo, si potrebbe fare un paragone con il TP di ‘legion of 3 worlds’, che a pari numero di pagine costa molto meno. non ci avevo fatto per niente caso!

Penso a chi seguiva la serie in HC e potrebbe ritrovarsi il finale in TP! HAHAHAH

Comunque il prezzo è troppo alto per un TP, secondo me si è trattato solo di un errore.

in effetti mi pare che anche su previews la segnalazione fosse ambigua, nel senso che forse c’era scritto “HC” nel titolo ma “sc” nella riga finale coi dati tecnici. quando torno dalle vacanze controllo. al peggio, vedremo quando uscirà! 😛 certo che, come scrivevo anche nell’articolo, se uscisse un TP sarebbe davvero strano.

Vedo adesso che sul sito DC risulta direttamente in TP, però tanto su Book Depository quanto sul Previews cartaceo è segnalato come Hardcover, anche il prezzo ($ 24.99) corrisponde ad un cartonato con sei storie, non ad un paperback. Secondo me è solo un errore sul sito.

Fabio, guarda che Superman: Last Stand of New Krypton è stato annunciato in HC, non direttamente in TP. 😉

I talked a while with my local comic shop owner (actually he is the only comic shop in town and for most of the county here) about your comment. He totally agrees with you on it. He says he can’t help but feel between DC Comics and Marvel they will keep the shelves flooded with crappy junk just to keep the independents off of the shelf and any extra spending money away from the indies. Regrettably he’s forced to stock so much of their stuff just to be sure he has items are as close to sure sellers that he needs to stay in business.

He wishes he could support more of the indie comics and he does in his own limited way. But these days with money being so tight for everyone, he needs to have the sure sellers, so he very carefully selects the handful that he does have.

you said something i strongly agree with, valerie!
i believe DC needs to flood the market just to keep their shelf space from being eaten by other publishers. so, maybe it doesn’t matter to them if their books are so-so, as long as they sell enough. sometimes reality really does feel sillier than comic books… :-/

There are times when I really wonder if the people at the head of DC Comics have any real understanding about their fans and the series they follow. And how too much of a good thing and too many bad or so-so product out there will hurt them in the long run? They need to aim for quality not quantity when it comes to the series and products, if the quality is there the numbers will grow and grow fast.
